Electric Scooter App Features Explained

by TOOINS 20 Oct 2026

Your scooter app is most useful when you know which settings change the ride and which simply make daily use easier. Start with pairing, learn the controls while parked, then change one riding setting at a time. That approach makes it much easier to notice what actually feels better.

Treat app setup like adjusting a riding position: establish a comfortable baseline before experimenting. Take a screenshot of your starting settings so you can return to them. If several family members use the same scooter, review the selected mode each time rather than assuming the previous rider left it as you prefer.

Connect once, then learn the screen

On iPhone, look for UNI SCOOTER. On Android, look for UNISCOOTER. The icons and screen layouts can differ. Turn on Bluetooth and the scooter, select the correct nearby device, and follow your model manual for pairing. If more than one scooter appears, check the device name rather than connecting to the first result.

  1. Pair while parked, with the scooter close to your phone.
  2. Read the selected speed mode before your first start.
  3. Try the light switch and lock function without moving.
  4. Save riding adjustments until you have room for a low-speed test.

Make starts easier to understand

The M1 app supports riding settings and electronic locking. If your scooter requires a push before the throttle responds, check the Zero Start setting and your manual. Learn its startup behavior in an open area; changing the setting can make an accidental throttle press more consequential.

Set up your everyday ride

For X1, confirm the functions shown for your scooter and app version. Its seating flexibility and adjustable riding position make setup worth doing carefully. Complete app adjustments while stationary, then focus on the road rather than the phone once you begin riding.

Fine-tune electronic braking

If the X2 electronic brake feels too strong, lower its strength while parked and test again slowly on a dry, open surface. Change one level at a time. This adjusts the electronic response; the front and rear hydraulic disc brakes still need their normal inspection and maintenance.

A useful test route has room for a gentle start, a short straight section and a predictable stop. Repeat that same sequence after an adjustment. Comparing the same task makes differences easier to notice than changing settings during a busy journey, when traffic, surface and speed all vary at once.

Use convenience features deliberately

App locking is useful during a brief pause, but a physical lock and a sensible parking location still matter. Cruise control also deserves a deliberate decision: first learn how your model engages and cancels it, and avoid using it where pedestrians, crossings or frequent speed changes require your attention.

Why does my screen look different from the tutorial?

The iOS and Android apps can have different interfaces. Software updates can also move settings. Identify the function by its label and check the current manual if something does not match.
