TOOINS X1 Seated or Standing: How to Choose Your Riding Setup

by TOOINS Team 05 Oct 2026

X1 lets you keep the seat for a supported position or remove the seat and post for standing use. Choose around the trip you actually take.

Start with the setup you expect to use most often, then adjust the controls around that posture. Check that your arms can remain relaxed and that the brake lever is easy to reach. Avoid assuming that adding or removing the seat leaves every other part of the riding position equally comfortable.

Start with fit

While stationary, check seated reach and foot position without stretching. In standing configuration, check deck stance and handlebar adjustment as directed in the manual. Then learn starts and stops in your preferred setup.

Seated trips

The padded seat can suit steady neighborhood travel when you prefer sitting. Secure the seat and post correctly, then test at low speed. Comfort includes access to the controls and a stable foot position, not only the cushion.

Standing trips

Remove seat and post according to the instructions and keep the components together. The wide deck and adjustable handlebar help a natural setup. Check all fitted hardware before riding, including after switching configuration.

Between rides

Check the fold procedure and storage dimensions for your setup. Keep cables clear and verify the riding lock after unfolding. Measure the vehicle or storage area with the parts you intend to leave installed.

For a fair comparison, use the same short route in each approved configuration. Notice starts, turns, stops and dismounting separately. A setup may feel pleasant while cruising but awkward at frequent stops, which is why a practical test should include the ordinary interruptions of your daily journey.

Seated may suit you when… Standing may suit you when…
You prefer support during steady trips. You prefer changing your stance.
The fitted seat works with your reach and storage. You want seat and post out of the way.

Both configurations share pneumatic tires, front and rear suspension and dual disc brakes. Learn braking in the setup you will use and make hardware changes only while parked.
